Supporting children from 3–18 through school
An online course full of practical tools for parents of children aged 3–18
For the parent who wants to stay calm, connected and anchored — even when parenting becomes difficult.
This course in English will help you understand what may be happening underneath your child’s behaviour—and respond in a way that protects both connection and parental leadership. The sessions will be recorded for those who can not make it and handouts are available. Every session includes a Q&A for individual cases.
Five live 2h online sessions on Monday evenings, starting September 14th at 6pm CEST, max 10 participants.
Course price: 3,500 CZK/family
Registration is free and does not commit you to joining the course. Enrolment and payment will open at the end of August.

Does this sound familiar?
-
Your child holds everything together at school, then explodes at home.
-
Homework turns into avoidance, arguments or tears.
-
Your child becomes anxious about mistakes, marks or friendships.
-
The more you insist, the more strongly they resist.
-
Your teenager rejects your guidance but is deeply influenced by peers.
-
You try to remain calm, but eventually you become angry too.
-
After another conflict, you wonder whether you were too soft, too strict—or both.
Parents of younger and primary-school children
Morning resistance, separation, emotional explosions after school, homework beginnings, frustration, boundaries and friendship problems.
Parents of preteens and teenagers
Withdrawal, secrecy, counterwill, academic pressure, screens, peer orientation, motivation and preserving influence without controlling.
Parents can be left struggling with worry, frustration and helplessness.
Understanding frustration
Frustration appears when something is not working and cannot immediately be changed. It may come out as resistance, aggression, blaming, tears or emotional shutdown.
You will be able to make room for difficult feelings while keeping behaviour safe.
Counterwill and resistance
Children and teenagers often resist more strongly when they feel pressured, controlled or disconnected.
We will explore counterwill—the natural instinct to resist coercion—and how to reduce power struggles without giving up parental responsibility. Understanding why connecting before directing is more efficient will help you hold clear boundaries and recognise when increased pressure is making cooperation less likely.
Teenage behaviour and peer orientation
During adolescence, children naturally seek more independence. At the same time, peer relationships can begin to carry more emotional weight than the relationship with parents.
We will explore withdrawal, irritability, secrecy, strong resistance, peer pressure and the growing influence of friends and online groups. The aim is not to prevent teenagers from having strong peer relationships, but to help parents remain a secure source of orientation, guidance and emotional safety.
Supporting your child through school
We will explore homework conflicts, performance pressure, fear of failure, friendship difficulties, school anxiety and emotional outbursts after the school day.
You will learn to notice when your child needs guidance, when they need a clear boundary—and when they first need connection.
Handling your own frustration
Your child’s struggles can awaken anger, worry, guilt and helplessness in you.
We have included simple body-aware practices to help you recognise your triggers, regulate yourself and respond more consciously in difficult moments.

Why I created this course
I am Eszter Saródy, an integral counsellor, attachment-based parenting educator and mother of three.
I created this course because school difficulties rarely remain at school. They enter family relationships through homework struggles, anxiety, resistance, parental worry and repeated conflict.
My work combines attachment-based developmental understanding, emotional maturation, body-aware regulation and practical support for real family situations. I will not give you a rigid parenting formula. I will help you understand what is happening and find responses that fit your child, your values and your family.
The course will be held in a small group to support an optimal learning and sharing experience. This gives each participant enough space to ask questions, reflect on real family situations and learn from the experiences of other parents.
