HOW TO FIND MY DIRECTION

Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, purpose alignment, and goal achievement? How to Find My Direction is a comprehensive personal development course designed to help you unlock your full potential, find your life's purpose, and navigate the path to success with clarity and confidence.

Our course is structured around four core sections, each carefully crafted to guide you through the essential aspects of personal growth and development. We will help you answer the simple but foundational questions: WHO (am I)? WHY (I do) WHAT (I do) and HOW (to do it). 

How to Find My Direction is a course for 8-12 people over 4 months, 60 hours in total.

The structure is based on the four core moduls: 
WHO | WHY | WHAT | HOW 


Each modul is built up from live and online parts: we meet once a month, for a half-day long workshop on Saturday where the exercises are focused on genuine connection, deep listening, feeling-based reflection, movement, intuition and meditations.
The experiences of this workshop give the base for the more cognitive work that follows over Monday evening online sessions, where discussions, reflection, sharing, and written exercises deepen the insights.
The last meeting in person is time for reflection, acknowledging our successes and presenting our plans for the future, looking back at all what we have accomplished.

1. Who

Self-Discovery and Understanding

The journey begins with self-discovery. In the "Who" section, you'll embark on a profound exploration of your inner self. You'll gain a deep understanding of who you are at your core, setting the stage for a purpose-driven life.
Self-Reflection:
Through thought-provoking exercises, journaling, and guided introspection, you'll embark on a transformative exploration of your inner self. You'll ponder questions like, "What are my core values?" "What are my strengths and weaknesses?" and "What truly ignites my passions?" This process of self-discovery will set the foundation for your personal growth journey, empowering you with a profound understanding of who you are.
Personality Assessment:
Understanding your personality is a key element of self-discovery. In this section, we leverage renowned personality assessment tools like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Enneagram to provide you with unique insights into your personality traits and tendencies. You'll gain a deeper understanding of how your personality influences your behaviour, communication style, and decision-making. Armed with this knowledge, you'll be better equipped to navigate various life situations and relationships.
Values Identification:
Your values are the compass that guides your life's decisions and direction. You'll embark on a journey to identify your core values, those principles and beliefs that hold the utmost significance in your life. These values shape your decisions, your actions, and your overall sense of purpose. Through engaging activities, you'll clarify your values and explore how they impact your life choices, both big and small.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Recognising your strengths and addressing your weaknesses are pivotal steps in personal development. In this section, you'll not only uncover your unique talents and abilities but also gain insights into areas where you may need further growth. By acknowledging your strengths, you'll discover how to leverage them for personal and professional success. Simultaneously, you'll embrace your areas for improvement, transforming your weaknesses into opportunities for growth and development. This self-awareness will become a powerful tool throughout your journey.

2. Why: 

Motivation and Values Alignment

Motivation is the driving force behind your journey. In the "Why" section, you'll dive deep into the psychology of motivation. We'll help you understand what personally drives you, whether it's intrinsic or extrinsic motivation. Values alignment becomes paramount as you discover how aligning your core values with your life purpose and goals enhances intrinsic motivation. 
We'll also address common barriers and fears that can hinder your progress and motivation, equipping you with strategies to overcome them effectively.

Fear and Resistance:
We'll also address common beliefs and fears that can hinder your progress and motivation, equipping you with strategies to overcome them effectively. You'll learn to recognize fear and resistance when they arise and develop practical techniques for managing them. Whether it's the fear of failure, fear of change, or self-doubt, you'll be equipped with the tools to navigate these challenges with resilience and determination. Once you've gained clarity about yourself, it's time to define your life's purpose and meaningful goals. In the "What" section, we'll facilitate discussions and activities to help you explore what truly brings you meaning and fulfillment. 
We'll encourage you to envision your ideal life and future self, creating a clear roadmap for your personal development journey. Plus, you'll identify your passions and discover how to align them with your life's purpose and goals for a truly fulfilling path.
Purpose Exploration:
With a solid understanding of yourself, you'll transition to the "What" section, where you'll explore the profound concept of life purpose. Through engaging discussions and activities, you'll delve deep into your aspirations and desires, seeking to answer the fundamental question, "What brings meaning and fulfillment to my life?" This exploration will be a pivotal moment as you begin to uncover the unique purpose that drives you forward. You'll gain clarity about what truly matters to you and what you aspire to achieve. 
Goal Setting:
With your purpose in mind, it's time to translate your aspirations into actionable steps. The "What" section introduces you to effective goal-setting techniques. We emphasize the importance of SMART goals—goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Through practical exercises, you'll learn how to break down your long-term objectives into manageable milestones, making your path to purpose-driven success clearer and more attainable.
Vision Creation:
In this part of the course, you'll harness the power of visualization to design your ideal life and future self. You'll be encouraged to dream big and imagine the life you aspire to lead. Through visualization techniques, you'll immerse yourself in your envisioned future, enhancing your motivation and commitment to your goals. By creating a vivid and compelling vision of your desired outcomes, you'll have a clear roadmap to guide your actions and decisions.

We'll teach you time management techniques and productivity strategies to help you stay on track. You'll acquire problem-solving skills and resilience strategies to navigate challenges effectively.

In the final section, "How," we transition from planning to action. Here, we guide you through the process of translating your aspirations into actionable steps, teaching you the skills necessary for effective execution.

Your action plans will be highly specific. We'll help you define actionable steps that outline what you need to do, when, and how. These steps ensure that you have a clear path forward and can track your progress effectively. Within your action plans, prioritization is key. You'll learn how to identify and prioritize tasks based on their significance and alignment with your goals. This approach allows you to allocate your time and resources wisely.

Time Management:
Time-blocking is a powerful strategy that involves allocating dedicated time slots for different tasks and activities.
Throughout this section, you'll explore a variety of productivity hacks and tools designed to optimize your work and personal life.

We address the common challenge of procrastination. You'll gain insights into the psychological aspects of procrastination and learn practical strategies to overcome it. You'll maintain your focus and momentum toward your goals.
Overcoming Obstacles:
Obstacles and challenges are inevitable on any personal development journey. In this part of the course, we equip you with problem-solving skills and resilience strategies to navigate these hurdles effectively.
Problem-solving is a valuable skill that empowers you to analyze challenges, identify potential solutions, and implement effective strategies. We introduce problem-solving frameworks that guide you through this process, ensuring that you approach obstacles with confidence and clarity.
Resilience is your ability to bounce back from setbacks. We delve into resilience-building techniques, such as developing a growth mindset and practicing self-compassion. These skills empower you to weather difficulties and maintain your determination.

Life is filled with unexpected changes and surprises. We emphasize the importance of adaptability and flexibility. You'll learn how to adjust your action plans and goals when faced with unexpected circumstances, ensuring that you stay on course even in challenging times.
Accountability:
Milestones serve as markers of progress and motivation These milestones allow for regular reflection, celebration of achievements, and course correction if needed. Accountability partners can be instrumental in your journey. Sharing your goals and progress with others creates a sense of responsibility. Seeking guidance and mentorship from experienced individuals or coaches is a valuable resource. We explore how mentors can provide invaluable insights, hold you accountable, and offer guidance on your personal development path.


Closing ceremony - celebration
After four months spent on intense self-discovery and reflection, it is time to acknowledge your achievements, growth and successes. Gaining clarity about your true purpose is a life-changing knowledge, that sets you up for success. Learning about your competencies, skills and strengths gives you self-confidence and self-esteem. Adaptability and flexibility will help you throughout your life to overcome challenges and setbacks that are part of this game we call life.

On our closing workshop you will be able to look back on to your learning journey and present your ideas, plans for the future. We will also emphasize on that a plan is adaptable and flexible, and it is OK to any moment to change direction. Your self knowledge will guide you to the best possible outcome.

We invite our student to meet in a year, to share experiences, and create a circle of alumni for accountability and maintenance of the deep connections that were created through the course.
